Its clause 5.5 refers in passing to "a wagering requirement from a deposit bonus", so the mechanism is acknowledged and never specified. Four offers, described by their parts and not their size
Read the panel above from the top and the first thing to notice is how differently the four operators answer the question the search asks. Rainbet's home page describes two welcome paths a player chooses between before depositing: a tiered matched deposit that comes with a wager lock, and a second path it describes as having no wager lock, whose bonus unlocks as you play. Stake's welcome offer is not a matched deposit at all but early access to its rakeback programme, claimed by entering a referral code inside a window that opens with the account. Bitcasino states in its reward terms that it offers no deposit or welcome rewards. Roobet's bonus policy runs to many sections and does not contain the word welcome.
Those four sentences already sort the operators more usefully than any headline would, because they tell you what kind of thing you would be accepting. A matched deposit is credit against future play, with a requirement attached. A rakeback is a rebate on money already wagered, with no requirement to clear. A stated no-reward posture would mean there is nothing to read — except that the same operator's reward terms go on to publish a wagering base, a weighting table and a block on withdrawals while a reward is active, and this site's teardown records that contradiction rather than resolving it. And a policy that never mentions a welcome offer means the offer, if one runs, is governed by rules published elsewhere or not at all — which is a shape too, and the least comfortable one.
The remaining cells fill in the shape row by row. The base a multiplier applies to is the deposit plus the bonus at two operators and the reward plus its winnings at a third; the fourth publishes no requirement to have a base. A cap on a single bet while the offer runs is published by exactly one operator, as a share of the deposit, and by none of the others. Expiry is published in pieces: a claim window here, a lifetime for periodic links there, a window on sportsbook bonus bets at one operator and nothing on its casino side, and, at one operator, no expiry anywhere in its reward terms. The lock cell is the one every reader should read twice, and it gets its own section below.
The one operator that prints the multiplier, and where it prints it
A wagering requirement has two halves: what it is applied to, and how many times over. Two of the four operators publish the first half and withhold the second, and one publishes neither. Stake's policy says the multiplier varies with your affiliation and the bonus type. Bitcasino's says the reward must be turned over a specified number of times, and then specifies nothing. Roobet's policy mentions a wagering requirement once, in passing, to say that rakeback stops while one is active — and defines neither its base nor its multiplier. The figures a reader meets in those operators' help centres are worked examples the operator chose to explain the arithmetic; an example is an assumption, not a commitment, and this site does not repeat it as one.
Rainbet is the exception, and the exception has a location worth naming. The multiplier for its wager-locked welcome path is printed on its home page, in marketing copy, applied to the combined base of deposit and bonus — the costlier of the two bases in use here. It is not in the terms; the terms add a separate sentence saying that opting into a promotion requires a wager twice the usual amount. So the number a reader can hold Rainbet to lives on a page that can change without a version note, and the cite under its row says home page rather than terms for exactly that reason. A published figure is better than a withheld one. A published figure on a home page is what it is, and the tag tells you.
The same home page is the source for two more cells in Rainbet's row: the shape of its welcome paths and the bet cap while the promotion is active. Rainbet's terms carry its lock and the cap on what a code-attributed balance may move out; its home page carries how the offer is built. This site does not treat the two sources as equal, and neither should you: the terms are the contract, the home page is the description of it, and the tag under each cell tells you which one you are reading.
Two locks that are not the same lock
The word lock appears in more than one cell above, and it names two different things that a reader is invited to confuse. The first is a lock on a bonus: while a requirement attached to bonus money is running, the balance cannot leave. Stake publishes that shape in its starkest form, an automatic denial of a withdrawal request until the wagering is done, with two published ways out — finish it, or spend the balance in that currency to nothing. Bitcasino publishes the same block on withdrawals and adds a third door the others do not: forfeit the reward and keep what is yours. Rainbet locks a balance that came with a welcome or affiliate code until its wager lock completes, and caps what may then move out.
The second is a lock on a deposit, and it has nothing to do with any bonus. Roobet's withdrawal help states that the full amount of a crypto deposit must be wagered before any of it can be withdrawn, and its bonus policy publishes no bonus lock at all — the condition sits on the money you brought, whether or not you ever accept a promotion. Rainbet applies a single rollover to every crypto deposit as the condition of its fee waiver. Stake's help centre declares a deposit withdrawn without any bets to be invalid and calls it coin mixing. Three operators, three sentences, and none of them is a bonus term.
Why keep them apart when both stop a payout? Because a bonus lock is avoidable by declining the bonus, and a deposit lock is not avoidable by anything except playing. A reader who declines every promotion at one operator still cannot withdraw an unplayed deposit there; at another, the only lock its terms publish is the one on an active reward, so a reader who takes no reward has no published lock left to clear. Any listing that folds the two into one word has hidden the difference that decides whether your own money is free, and this page keeps them in separate sentences on purpose.
A rebate is not a bonus, and the operators that publish one say so themselves
Two of the four operators publish a rakeback: Stake as part of a VIP programme whose published rewards include a share of every bet returned to the player, and Rainbet as a rebate claimable at short intervals, based on total wagered, feeding a daily reload alongside a rewards stack with ranked tiers. Neither is a bonus in the sense the rest of this page uses, and it matters that the operators' own wording agrees: a rebate returns a portion of money you have already staked, so there is no requirement to clear and nothing to unlock. It is worth little to a player who plays once and a great deal to one who plays constantly, which is a sentence no bonus banner has any reason to print.
We say this here because the two cells that carry a rebate are the two most likely to be read as generosity, and neither operator asks to be read that way. Stake's welcome offer is early access to that rakeback, not a matched deposit, and its own documentation says the access is otherwise earned by climbing tiers. Rainbet's rewards copy carries a headline ceiling on how much comes back, and we do not repeat it, because a ceiling is a marketing figure and this site records shapes. For Roobet and Bitcasino we checked no loyalty claim, and we say that plainly rather than guessing at one.
