How it plays

Limbo is an original game developed by Stake. The player sets a stake and a target multiplier, and the round's result multiplier decides whether the target is reached. This page covers only the rules and figures that Stake publishes and offers no way to win.

Before each round, the player sets a stake and a target multiplier.

The round produces a result multiplier. When it is higher than the target multiplier the player set, the prize at that target multiplier is paid at once.

When the result multiplier does not reach the target, the round ends and the stake is lost.

Every round is random and earlier results have no effect on the next one. Stake Originals use a provable fairness system, and this site gives no betting advice.

RTP is a theoretical value published officially. It describes the average return over the long run and many rounds, and says nothing about a single round or a short period. The version actually offered depends on the operator's settings, and the information in the game takes precedence. Items the official page does not publish are not listed in this table and are not guessed. Official page

Frequently asked questions

What is the RTP of Limbo?
Stake's game page lists an RTP of 99% and a house edge of 1.00%. These are long-run theoretical values and say nothing about short-term results.
What is the highest multiplier in Limbo?
Stake's game page gives a theoretical top payout of 1,000,000x and notes that payouts in practice may go beyond it. It is a published figure and does not describe what any single round will produce.

As Stake describes it, it is the payout multiplier the player sets before each round. When the result multiplier is higher than it, the player receives the prize calculated at that target.
